What size lockers does U-PAK offer?
Currently U-PAK offers 2 sizes of storage locker. Our whole locker, which is 7′ wide by 9′ long and 7′ high is available for delivery or onsite loading and generally holds about a one bedroom apartment worth of furnishings. Our half locker, which is 7′ wide by 4 1/2′ long and 7′ high, it is available for onsite loading only and generally will hold a dorm room or bachelor suite worth of furnishings.
What are U-PAK's hours of business?
U-PAK Mobile Storage in Vancouver, BC is open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 5pm and closed Sundays and statutory holidays.
Are my goods insured once in a U-PAK Storage locker?
Insurance is optional. We find that many customers already carry insurance on their goods, and for those who don’t U-PAK offers an insurance policy through Megson-Fitzpatrick Insurance. This covers goods while they are in the storage facility. If you have any questions regarding the policy please contact the provider directly at 250-595-5212 and they can provide information regarding their product, just let them know you are inquiring about Contents Insurance for U-PAK Storage customers.
How far does U-PAK's service area extend?
Currently U-PAK services Victoria, Vancouver Island, Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
Will U-PAK deliver to another storage facility?
We are happy to. First check with the management of that facility to find out how long you can have to load up at the facility to avoid any surprises.
What options does U-PAK offer for delivery and pick-up times?
Our trucks run Monday through Saturday, and if you’d like a specific delivery or pick up time U-PAK offers assured bookings within a 2 hour time frame to schedule your delivery or pick up within. This service is available for a $49.00 charge. Your booking agent will ask whether you prefer morning or afternoon for your delivery and we do our best to accomodate the preference that you indicate. Pick ups need to be ready for anytime after 8am unless otherwise scheduled for an assured booking.
Do I have to load my locker myself?
It’s up to you. If you are needing help, U-PAK can provide referrals for reputable, experienced loaders to assist you.
Do my goods have to be stored at a U-PAK storage facility?
U-PAK Mobile storage lockers may reside at your location, at your own risk, if you prefer. Many customers and restoration or renovation companies find having storage on site is more suited to their situation.
When and how do I pay for services from U-PAK Storage?
Payment is required prior to delivery or loading of a locker. This enables us to secure the scheduling of your delivery. Generally, payment is taken at the time of the order. If, for any reason, you need to cancel your order, we require only 24 hours’ notice, at which time no cancellation fee applies and your payment is fully refundable. Payment can be made by credit card, cash, debit, or money order. Direct deposit may be an option for ongoing storage. Check with your financial institution for availability.
What if I need access to my goods while they are in storage?
To access your goods while in the Vancouver storage facility a minimum of one business days notice by 1pm is required for scheduling. If you need to schedule it on shorter notice than required a $25.00 fee would apply.
